Edappalam , A small village located in the southern part of Palakkad district ( Palakkad - Malappuram border ) blessed with all aspects of nature. It is now developing in all sence of life. It has its own tradition and natural beauty. Edappalam is situated along the banks of famous river Kunthippuzha. Edappalam , one of the famous place with educational institutions starting from Lower Primary to Higher Secondary. PTM Yatheemkhana schoolis one famous institution in Kerala, which has the most efficient education even to the common people. This institution could make its own kingdom in education sector within few years. Another important feature of Edappalam is the traditional festivals like 'Kalarikkal Aaratu' and the annual 'Rayiranallur Malakayattam' which has long historical beliefs. Several ancient and historical temples and mosques are located here. All people are engaged in these traditions forgetting the bond of religion, caste, politics etc. These make this village a ever remarkable common religionhood and a exclamation mark to the current issues.
